Home automation is the ability to remotely control and adjust certain appliances and systems in your home from the convenience of a smart device. This can be your computer, mobile phone or tablet. Whether you’re in your home, at work, at a friend’s house or any other location, you have complete control over every aspect of your house. To find out how easy and efficient these products are, we spoke with Doyle Security Customer Neil from Brighton, NY.

A: Being able to remotely lock and unlock doors and view live video feeds of my home when I'm away.

Q: On a scale of 1-10 (10 being extremely easy), how difficult is it to learn how to use the technology?

A: 8/10 Some of the customizable settings can get a little tricky but everyday operation is simple.

Q: Do you feel more in-control having home automation features from Doyle Security?

A: Absolutely – I can watch the children playing in the back yard if I want to, permit remote access of a friend dropping something off, turn on lights remotely when I'm out, even change the temperature of my home.

A: I totally would – it brings me closer to home when I'm traveling, provides me with a huge sense of security knowing that the house and my family are safe. I know immediately whether there is a flood, fire or carbon monoxide issues as I get instant updates texted to me.
