Job Summary

The Director of Technical Operations will be responsible for the technical training and operational standards across our nine branches. This individual will also assist in recruiting and on-boarding of technicians, product evaluation and vendor relationship management. The technical director will be a member of our leadership team and report directly to the Chief Operating Officer.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Technical training primarily for our field installation and service technicians but also for sales and other support groups.
  • Establishing, revising and maintaining technical standards and standard operating procedures.
  • New product evaluation.
  • Managing and communicating company-wide technical and supply chain issues. 

Marginal Job Functions:

  • Assist with recruiting, interviewing, and hiring field technicians.
  • Assist with troubleshooting complex technical issues related to electronic security equipment.
  • Manage vendor relationships.
  • Evaluate and manage sub-contractors.
  • Assist in coordinating shared branch labor resources. 

Technical Skills Required:

  • Minimum of five years of experience in electronic security (security, fire alarm, access control, CCTV)
  • Basic knowledge of IT/Networking
  • Knowledge of fire code
  • Experience with technical training / education

Position Prerequisites:

As a security monitoring company, some nights and weekends may be included. Travel is required and training will need to be conducted both virtually and in-person on a periodic basis. Candidate must have a valid driver’s license and must pass a background check.
