Security System Installation Technician

Job Summary

The alarm installation technician works to provide on-premises support.  The technician will be assigned preliminary work as systems are installed, tested and as customers are trained in their use.

 Essential Job Functions:

  1. Install electronic residential security systems.  
  2. Test installed system following established protocols.
  3. Insure system functions properly.
  4. Instruct customers on use of system.  Answer customer questions.
  5. Prepare documentation for proper monitoring and billing.

Marginal Job Functions:

  1. Offer enhanced services to customers.
  2. Provide assistance for other customer issues.
  3. Collect payment from customer.

Physical and Mental Requirements:

  1. Ability to drive a company vehicle.  
  2. Ability to work in diverse settings.
  3. Excellent understanding of electronic security systems.  
  4. Compliance with all safety requirements.

Position Prerequisites:

  • Reliable transportation.
  • Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
  • Some flexibility regarding schedule
