RESIDENTIAL SALESPERSON

Position Summary
• Sell new security and fire systems through both self-generated and company provided leads
• Ensure customer satisfaction

Essential Job Functions
• Generate leads for new sales
• Meet with prospective customer in order to sell systems
• Recommend and design security systems to meet customer needs
• Process all appropriate documentation/paperwork
• Resolve customer issues and concerns
• All other miscellaneous responsibilities and duties as assigned

Education/Experience
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• 1-2 years experience in sales preferred

Skills/Qualifications
• Excellent communication skills required
• Must be a self-starter and have excellent follow-up skills
• Valid state driver’s license and clean driving record required
• Basic knowledge of security systems preferred

Computer Skills
• Basic data entry and retrieval skills required
• Intermediate word processing and basic spreadsheet competence preferred


COMMERCIAL SALESPERSON

Position Summary
• Sell new security and fire systems through both self-generated and company provided leads

ALARM DISPATCHER

Position Summary
• Respond to incoming monitoring signals
• Manage inbound and outbound phone calls and customer requests

Essential Job Functions
• Answer and follow-up incoming signals, alarm and trouble
• Answer inbound calls
• Initiate outbound calls to customers, police agencies and emergency contacts
• Provide customer service when needed
• Miscellaneous responsibilities and other duties as assigned

Experience
• No prior experience required
• 1-2 years preferred
• Customer service background preferred

Education
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• 1-2 years post high school education preferred

Skills/Qualifications
• Good communication skills required
• Ability to multi-task
• Basic data entry and retrieval skills required
• 35 wpm typing skills (minimum)


INSTALLATION TECHNICIAN

Position Summary
• Install complete burglar, fire, card access, and CCTV security systems and explain installation and operation to customer
• Perform system alterations and additions and service systems as required

Essential Job Functions
• Establish positive contact with customer
• Explain installation and operation of system to customer
• Prepare installation equipment
• Install system in a timely manner and to company standards
• Run necessary system test
• Process necessary documentation
• Provide assistance and on-the-job guidance to new hires
• Assist other technician as required
• Provide 24-hour on call support that my be required even on weekends and holidays
• All other miscellaneous responsibilities and other duties as assigned

Experience
• 2-3 years alarm installation/electrical experience required
• 4-5 years preferred

Education
• High school diploma or equivalent required

Skills/Qualifications
• Written and spoken English language skills required
• Excellent customer service skills required
• Excellent communication/interpersonal skills required
• Basic knowledge of construction, electronic theory and electrical wiring
• Demonstrated ability to read maps and travel independently required
• Demonstrated ability to program, install, troubleshoot and explain simple residential and commercial security systems required
• Basic knowledge of UL, NFPA, NEC and building standards
• Valid driver’s license and a clean record

Computer Skills
• Basic data entry and retrieval skills required
• Intermediate work processing competence preferred


SERVICE TECHNICIAN

Position Summary
• Provide 24-hour on call repair, replacement, installation, inspection and maintenance service for all company alarm systems

Essential Job Functions
• Establish positive contact with customer
• Investigate the cause of alarm malfunction
• Explain service to customer
• Service system in a timely manner and to company standards
• Process necessary documentation
• All other miscellaneous responsibilities and other duties as assigned

Experience
• 1-2 years alarm installation or service experience required
• 3-5 years preferred

Education
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• 1-2 years post high school education preferred

Skills/Qualifications
• Valid state driver’s license and a clean record
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Good interpersonal skills
• Basic knowledge of construction and electrical wiring required
• Basic knowledge of electronic theory required
• Ability to program, test, inspect and install all major company products including but not limited to Honeywell, DMP, Ademco, Bosch and FBI
